Form the Future has just launched its annual Ambassador Survey.
As a Cambridge-based social enterprise, we have supported more than 18,000 students this academic year (up to June 2023), at 69 academic institutions across the county.
At our core is an invaluable community of 250 active ambassadors, who have a passion for connecting young people to a world of career possibilities. These volunteers go into schools as part of our programme of outreach activity, and share their real-life experience, giving insight into their work, job and sector.
As many Ambassadors have shared anecdotally – the rewards from inspiring students to dream big, whilst empowering them to fulfil their potential – are vast and far reaching on both personal and social levels.
The survey aims to help Form the Future quantify feedback, benchmark the volunteer experience against other programmes, identify any required improvements and ensure that we are being as representative and inclusive as possible.
There are also questions to help the organisation understand any drivers or barriers around signing up or taking part in activities, as well as personal passions or professional motivators.
Finally, we would also like to hear stories and examples illustrating the impact and substantial benefits of interactions with Form the Future, for young people and Ambassadors.
There are 38 questions, of which only 13 are mandatory, with 3 tick boxes at the end. Answering all questions will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Any ambassadors, regardless of how long they’ve been volunteering with Form the Future, are invited to please take part here, so we get as complete a picture as possible. The survey closes at 5pm on 14 July.
A summary of results will be anonymised and shared in a future Career Ambassador Update Newsletter.
