Form the Future Apprenticeship Careers Fair 2025

Success at Form the Future’s Apprenticeships Careers Fair 2025

Form the Future’s National Apprenticeship Week celebrations peaked as 900 school students explored career opportunities at their Apprenticeships Careers Fair 2025. Hosted at Impington Village College, and funded by the Greater Cambridge Partnership, the event provided young people from 13 Cambridgeshire schools, including Cambridge Maths School, Chesterton 6th Form, and Northstowe Secondary, with invaluable insights into apprenticeship pathways.

Held on Thursday, 13 February 2025, the fair took place in the middle of National Apprenticeship Week, a nationwide celebration of apprenticeships as a vital route into skilled careers. An impressive 27 employers participated in the event, including AstraZeneca, ARM, PEM, Johnson Matthey, and First Intuition. These businesses engaged with students throughout the day, showcasing a diverse range of apprenticeship opportunities across sectors such as healthcare, engineering, finance, and many more, inspiring the next generation of talent.

Two seminars also ran throughout the day: ‘Interview Skills’ presented by South Cambridgeshire District Council and ‘Employability Skills’ presented by First Intuition.

Anne Bailey, CEO of Form the Future, commented on the event’s success:
“It was inspiring to see so many students eager to learn about apprenticeships and the career paths they open up. This event showed the growing awareness and appreciation of apprenticeships as a pathway to high-quality careers. We are proud to play a role in connecting young people with leading employers who are passionate about nurturing future talent.”

Christopher Gee, Assistant Principal of Impington Village College, shared his perspective:

“The enthusiasm from students was fantastic, and it was clear that they were genuinely considering apprenticeships as a serious career option. Engaging directly with employers and current apprentices gave them real insight into what they could achieve. It was wonderful to see students from different schools coming together to explore their futures. Our partnership with Form the Future is crucial in facilitating these opportunities, as it allows us to bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring our students are equipped with the knowledge and connections they need to succeed.”

A massive thank you to all the amazing exhibitors who joined us on the day. Together, we are shaping the future apprenticeship landscape and inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals!
