On 2nd December we hosted our 6th Annual Conference, using online event platform Hopin.
As we emerged from Covid restrictions, it’s been fantastic to be back in school, hosting careers guidance sessions, in-school events, and welcoming our volunteers back for more face-to-face engagement.
This year has not been without its challenges, however. As we navigate a balancing act between in-person and virtual delivery, the needs of the young people we work with are at the heart of our decisions. We help young people find their route through education into employment – and with the fast-changing world of work putting an ever-greater demand on all of us to support young people in making that transition successful – our work is as vital as ever. THE WORKSHOPS
Attendees then chose from a variety of workshops, covering topics such as creating a stable careers programme, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, green jobs and what schools need from STEM businesses. You can read more and watch highlights from each workshop in our report here.
SO WHAT’S NEXT?
Everything we do, we do as part of a network: a network of schools, and career leaders, teachers, students, parents and employers, with their volunteers, their HR teams and their leaders, so events like our Annual Conference are vital to our development.
