Form the Future and the NHS set to showcase diverse careers with free virtual event

During the Covid-19 crisis, we’ve watched in awe at the heroic efforts of all NHS staff – efforts that are made each and every day to look after the public’s health.

In the eastern region, the NHS is one of the largest employers – and careers in healthcare are set to grow over the next few years.

Form the Future and the NHS are excited to be running a free virtual careers event on 18th August, NHS Opportunities, designed to showcase the wealth of careers available in the NHS.

The event will also tackle misconceptions around NHS jobs – showing the vast number of non-clinical roles available, from Information Analysts and Activity Coordinators, to Project Managers and Change Agents.

Careers in the NHS are for all – whether you’re a school leaver looking to take your first steps into the world of work, or someone looking for a career change.

With jobs of all levels available – from level 2 Apprenticeships through to management roles – this is a great time to learn more about the fantastic opportunities available, and if they could be the right fit for you.

Kath Langler is one of Cambridge University Hospital’s first apprentices to qualify as a Registered Nurse, and one of the first in the country. Kath said: “I am proud of how confident I have become within the ward setting thanks to the training on placements plus the previous years of experience I have had as a Healthcare Assistant.”

If you’re looking for a new challenge and want the chance to make a difference to people’s lives through your work, join Form the Future and the NHS to learn more about the opportunities available – and discover your future career.
