CAREERS CAROUSEL AT IMPINGTON VILLAGE COLLEGE
251 Students from Year 8 (secondary)
Event Description
PLEASE NOTE TIMINGS ON THE DAY ARE TBC
In our ever-changing work environment, current jobs exist which young people are often unaware of. Now is a pivotal time to have a lasting influence on a student’s future decision making and motivation to succeed. Join us to enlighten then on some of the career options available and how to reach them.
Employers are invited to discuss their career paths and promote company opportunities to small groups of students in short sessions.
If you or someone from your organisation is available, please register for more information about the event or contact David Brockway (dbrockway@formthefuture.org.uk) with any questions.
This event will support schools in working towards achieving Gatsby Benchmark 5: Encounters with employers and employees. Research from the Education and Employers Taskforce shows that a young person who has four or more meaningful encounters with an employer is 86% less likely to be unemployed or not in education or training and can earn up to 22% more during their career.
If this is your first event with us, please create a profile on our portal, it should only take a couple of minutes to sign up: https://www.formthefuture.org.uk/register/ (Info video how to sign up).
