APPRENTICESHIP TALK AT SWAVESEY VC
230 Students from Year 11 (secondary)
Event Description
These events help students learn how apprenticeships work. The role of the volunteer is to explain how apprenticeships can offer an alternative to full-time education that students can choose after GCSEs or A-levels. We particularly welcome current and former apprentices who can talk through their own experience.
This event works best when led by a member of HR, Recruitment of Early Careers staff, supported by a current apprentice. The lead staff member provides an overview of what apprenticeships are and what young people need to know about them (we have a template presentation that you can follow); the apprentice then shares some of their own experience and answers questions from the students.
